Daily Flow Deep Dive — July 27, 2026
Apologies that there was no morning brief today. The reason for this is that there were (1) no options trades that scored over 70; and (2) there were no rarity/unusual trades. This is very much a function of the current market.
Based upon the foregoing let me give you some insight in how I choose the signal flow each day. In my complete trading platform on Discord, members have access to a Signals dashboard that scores all the pure directional bullish flow for the day >= 30 dte.
I normally choose the 5 highest scoring names on >=70 on a daily basis, without repetition over the period of a week.
Here is a snapshot of this flow today. As you can see the highest scoring name was NVDA at 61. Frankly at these score levels, I am not adding exposure and I am not following whale flow.
For each ticker there is a drill down on technicals, sector, flow etc. When we are in an uptrend we frequently see scores in the 90s, 80s and 70s. When we break key technicals and there are rotations taking place, the scores quickly break down to sub 70s and lower. Here is the drill down on the MU trade shown above.
These kind of tools don’t tell you what to trade but they are very good at helping you make better trading decisions.
Market Pulse
SPY closed flat at 739.09 and marked its third straight close below the 21 EMA. Price sits under the 8 EMA, 21 EMA, and 50 SMA, all stacked above the tape. The 200 SMA at 695.81 remains far below. This is a downtrend until price reclaims the 21 EMA at 744.39.
QQQ closed down 0.31% at 682.12 with nine consecutive closes below the 21 EMA. The moving averages are stacked bearish: 8 EMA at 695.72, 21 EMA at 706.03, 50 SMA at 717.24. Price is more than 20 points under the 21 EMA. Tech is the weak spot and the tape shows no relief yet.

Opening
Opening directional flow leaned bullish at $155.5M against $35.0M bearish, a net $120.6M bull. Semis carried the tape with SNDK ($22.8M), MU ($18.3M), SMH ($8.7M), and AMD ($8.0M) leading. Bearish premium was thin and scattered across SKHY, PLTR, and software names.
